Introduction to Olive Oil

Join us for a special Introduction to Olive Oil Class with Jill Myers of Women in Olive Oil. Jill brings her expertise to the Be Just Classroom to teach participants "all things olive oil;" from how it's made, how to taste it, and different ways to incorporate it into your rituals - culinary and beyond! Participants will experience different varietals under Jill's guidance, discuss ways to expertly pair olive oils, and explore its incorporation in recipes. Each participant will sample five different olive oils, a high phenolic olive oil, and get to bring home a 4oz sample of olive oil at the end of the class.
About the instructor:
Jill Myers, Founder & CEO at Women In Olive Oil™️ Organization, is a sommelier and ambassador of olive oil, based in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is certified by the International Culinary Center in New York City and received specialized training in Mediterranean food and diet at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She founded Slow Food Piedmont 2020 and is liaison to the National Board. In April 2020, Jill founded Women in Olive Oil (WIOO), starting with a small Facebook group that expanded globally in just a few days.
