Sunday Supper Series - November 13th, 2022


Be Just teams up with Two Fire Table for our Sunday Supper on November 13th.

Guests may begin arriving at 2:30PM with Supper to begin at 3PM.

Join us as we gather for a family-style, open fire culinary experience with Two Fire Table. Chef Sarah Rennie will craft an abundant seasonal supper prepared with local ingredients on a wood fire grill right before our eyes. A magical feast for the senses!

Open-fire cooking is an ancient method of cooking food over wood embers that infuse the meats, poultry, and vegetables with a perfect smokey char – YUM!!! Sip on warm cider or kvass, a lightly-fermented drink made from toasted whole rye bread from Albemarle Baking Co., with hints of honey and raisin. Other libations will be offered. 

Chef Sarah's culinary expertise was influenced by her travels in the rugged landscapes of Patagonia, Argentina and the American West where she was introduced to the culinary craft of open fire cooking, she further honed her skills as a wood fire chef while working at Sub Rosa bakery, a three-time nominated James Beard Award nominee. Sarah operates alongside sous-chef, Hannah Wilder, who is the current Head of Pastry at Common House Richmond.


Tentative Menu

Local mushroom, garlic, lemon ricotta with Sub Rosa bread

Creamy barley, charred eggplant, olives, radicchio  

Slow roasted whole chicken, smoked herb crema

Salt crusted skirt steak, pomegranate chimichurri 

Coal roasted winter squash, tahini, candied pecan

Cornmeal cake with spiced charred pears


This ticketed event will take place on Be Just owner Shawn Cossette's Fat Cat Farm in Scottsville, VA. In the event of inclement weather, not to worry - we have a lovely indoor rain plan location on the farm grounds. Guests can expect an afternoon that will provide the perfect analog setting for our guests to gather and enjoy all the best that the fall harvest and community has to offer!

With this meal we can only accommodate basic dietary exceptions – any variations must be noted at the time of booking. We also ask that you please include all names of you party. Party members and food allergies can be added in the "Notes" section at check out.  

Tickets are nonrefundable once we are within ten days of the event.
