At Be Just, we believe everyday objects can shape the rhythm of home. Our shop brings together thoughtfully made tools and objects, and serves as a place where customers can discover makers, attend classes, and connect with our community.

We’re looking for a Shop Manager who enjoys wearing many hats. In a small shop like ours, this means supporting customers, caring for the space, managing daily operations, and helping grow our online presence.

The right person is curious, creative, organized, and a clear communicator — someone who enjoys working independently while also helping guide the energy and rhythm of the shop. A sense of curiosity, adaptability, and humor goes a long way at Be Just.

Responsibilities may include:

Overseeing the daily operations and rhythm of the shop
Leading and supporting a small retail team
Creating thoughtful merchandising and maintaining shop presentation
Managing inventory, receiving deliveries, and restocking
Step in to resolve customer issues calmly and professionally
Working directly with customers and delivering a warm in-store experience
Managing Shopify and supporting online order fulfillment
Helping grow the shop’s online presence through marketing, social media, and storytelling

We’re looking for someone who:

Has previous retail leadership or management experience
Enjoys working in a small, collaborative environment
Is a natural connector who loves building relationships and making people feel welcome
Foster a respectful, supportive, and accountable work environment
Is organized, resourceful, and comfortable managing many moving parts
Has a strong eye for presentation and detail
Has experience with Shopify and an interest in growing online sales
Communicates clearly and enjoys interacting with customers
Has a genuine appreciation for design, craft, and thoughtfully made objects
Brings a positive attitude and a good sense of humor
