Niwaki's fantastic sharpening stone is specially designed for secateurs (pruning shears) but is also great for grass shears, topiary clippers, and other sharp stuff.
#1000 fine grit: This is the most useful stone for regular sharpening: if you only get one stone, make it this one.
The bottom of each stone is slightly concave and designed to fit the convex curve of the cutting blade on secateurs. This detail makes it easy to get the angle of attack correct, ensuring great sharpening results every time.
The flat face(s) of the stone is ideal for shears and topiary clippers and for removing the burr from the reverse of the blade after you have used the concave face to sharpen secateurs.
This sharpening stone is small enough to get into tight spots and sharpen all the way along the blade. It is highly recommended by Japanese blacksmiths and Niwaki's master pruner, Jake Hobson.
