Join Brian Mandeville, Head Brewer and Mark Benusa, Co-Founder, of Fine Creek Brewing for a deep dive into their brewing process. The class will focus on what sets Fine Creek apart from other breweries including their use of local fruit, native and foraged ingredients, local malt, and their collaborations with local wineries. The class and beers to be sampled will highlight farmhouse, mixed culture, barrel aged, and sour beers. This class is appropriate for beer enthusiasts, hops hobbyists, and folks who love to celebrate the local terroir in new ways!

About the Brewery:
Fine Creek Brewing is a small, family-owned farmhouse brewery in rural Powhatan County, established in May of 2017. Everything we do and every decision we make is done with intention and careful consideration. Fine Creek’s distribution footprint is very limited with most beers exclusively available in the tasting room. They’re excited for the chance to showcase some of their unique beers to Charlottesville in the Be Just Classroom!
We intentionally set out to create a limited production brewery in a setting with open space, fresh air and a sense of place. We find ourselves rotating our beers quickly, avoiding flagships, and changing our food menu every month not because its the easy thing to do but because we’re passionate about our craft. We cook the food we love to eat and brew the beers we love to drink. We support local farms and producers from fruit growers to grain farmers, from vegetable growers to malt producers. We believe beer is best enjoyed in the place it’s created in the presence of family, friends, and neighbors.
